About JAANA

My name is Jaana Kopra. I have been collecting stones and beads for over 20 years from markets around the world. When I find a fascinating piece, be it a shell, an amulet or an interesting carving, I take it home and, sometimes, it lays around for a long time until I find a perfect match for it. Making a necklace is a long term plan.

It would be very difficult to buy ingredients for a necklace all at once. I could do something, of course, but the really nice ones started several years ago in a little market in Rajasthan or up in the mountains of Guatemala. This is a continious journey around the world, all in one necklace.
